On Time Publication offers medical manuscript editing services for doctors, residents and health researchers, including those in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan. We edit the English, structure and formatting of your own case report, original article or review, check it against the relevant reporting guideline (such as CARE, CONSORT or STROBE) and the ICMJE Recommendations, and prepare it for PubMed-indexed journals. You and your co-authors remain the authors.

Clinicians have little time to write. Yet residency and fellowship applications, specialty training and academic promotion often ask for published research. This service is for residents, fellows, consultants, dentists, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals who have written a paper and want it ready for a medical journal.
We work online with doctors across the Gulf and Jordan, and also in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Our hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 8 PM UK time. Arabic-language communication is available. For wider publication support in the region, see our pages for Saudi Arabia & the GCC and Jordan.
Your paper is edited by the On Time Publication Editorial Team (qualified researchers and subject-specialist editors with publishing experience), matched to your specialty where possible. We edit language, structure and reporting only: we do not give medical advice, review clinical decisions or change your data or findings, and you and your co-authors remain responsible for the clinical content.
Grammar, clarity and correct medical terminology; generic drug names; units; abbreviations defined at first use; a clear, formal tone.
Clear Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, with a structured abstract and a message that matches your results.
We check your paper against the right guideline from the EQUATOR Network and flag missing items for you to add. A reporting-guideline checklist review (CONSORT, PRISMA, STROBE, CARE and similar) is included in every medical edit.
We check that ethics approval, informed consent, trial registration (if relevant) and conflict-of-interest statements are present and clearly worded. For trials, see how to publish a clinical trial. Our guide to ethics approval and consent statements explains what to include.
References in the journal's style (often Vancouver or AMA), tables, figure legends, title page and word limits.
A clear, short cover letter. For help choosing a journal, see journal selection & submission support.
Case reports are often a resident's first publication. Many journals expect them to follow the CARE guidelines: a clear title, a timeline, diagnostic findings, treatment, follow-up and outcomes, the patient's perspective where possible, and a statement on informed consent. The ICMJE says that when a patient could be identified, informed consent for publication requires that the patient be shown the manuscript. Most journals ask for a signed consent form, so check your target journal's policy. For a step-by-step walkthrough, see our guide on how to publish a case report. Please remove names, file numbers and other identifiers before you send us your files.
For other study types we use CONSORT for randomised trials, STROBE for observational studies and PRISMA for systematic reviews (see our guide on how to publish a systematic review).
Most medical journals follow the ICMJE Recommendations. Under ICMJE, an author must meet all four criteria: substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis or interpretation of data; drafting the work or reviewing it critically for important intellectual content; final approval of the version to be published; and agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work. ICMJE also states that language editing and proofreading alone do not qualify someone for authorship.
So our editors are never added as authors. We never add, remove or sell author names, and we do not write papers for you. If the journal asks, you can thank us for language editing in the acknowledgements. Questions about authorship order are decided by your research team; COPE offers guidance on authorship disputes.
"Indexed in PubMed" and "indexed in MEDLINE" are not the same thing. MEDLINE is the National Library of Medicine's main bibliographic database and a primary component of PubMed, but PubMed also includes other content. You can check a journal's status in the NLM Catalog; our guide PubMed-indexed journals: how to check MEDLINE status shows how. We help you choose PubMed-indexed journals that suit your article type, and we check Scopus and Web of Science coverage if your hospital or university requires it.
Send your manuscript (with patient identifiers removed), article type, target journal and deadline.
A custom quote based on word count, field and deadline, with a confirmed delivery date.
Tracked changes, comments and a list of missing reporting items for you to complete. Included: free, ongoing revision and resubmission support until the paper is published, including re-checks after peer review and reformatting if you resubmit to another journal. This is support, not a promise of publication: acceptance is decided by journals.
You approve every change and submit with all co-authors' agreement.
Turnaround: our team responds quickly and is available most hours, and the turnaround is agreed in each written quote based on length and scope. Confidentiality: we handle all clinical manuscripts confidentially (see our privacy policy), and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request. Acceptance is decided by journals through peer review and is not guaranteed. See our pricing and all services.
Yes. We edit the language and structure of your case report, check it against the CARE checklist, and format it for your chosen journal. We can also help you shortlist suitable PubMed-indexed journals.
Usually, yes. The ICMJE says that when a patient could be identified, informed consent for publication requires that the patient be shown the manuscript. Most journals ask for a signed consent form, so check your target journal's policy.
No. Under the ICMJE Recommendations, language editing and proofreading alone do not qualify someone for authorship. Our editors are never added as authors. You can mention editing support in the acknowledgements if the journal asks.
It depends on the design: CARE for case reports, CONSORT for randomised trials, STROBE for observational studies and PRISMA for systematic reviews. The EQUATOR Network lists guidelines for other designs.
Not always. MEDLINE is a primary component of PubMed, but PubMed also includes other content. Check the journal's current status in the NLM Catalog.
No. Acceptance is decided by the journal's editors and peer reviewers, so it is not guaranteed. Editing helps make sure language, structure and missing reporting items are not the reason for rejection.
