On Time Publication offers PhD thesis editing services for doctoral and master's students who want their own thesis or dissertation checked for language, consistency and formatting. We correct grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence-level clarity, check consistency, and apply your university's formatting template. We do not rewrite content, change your arguments or add material, and we work within your university's rules on third-party editing.

A thesis shows that you can do research and explain it in your own words. So our thesis editing is limited to language, consistency and presentation. Every change is made in tracked changes, and every suggestion is yours to accept or reject. When a passage is unclear, we leave a comment explaining the problem. We do not rewrite it for you.
Thesis and dissertation editing is offered as a standalone service. Your thesis is edited by the On Time Publication Editorial Team: qualified researchers and subject-specialist editors with publishing experience.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice and sentence-level clarity, in a formal academic tone. Ideal for international students writing in English.
Spelling style (UK or US English), terms, abbreviations, capitalisation, numbers, units, and heading and caption numbering.
Your university's template: margins, heading levels, table of contents, lists of figures and tables, captions and page numbers. Files: all common formats, including Word, LaTeX and PDF.
We flag mismatches between citations and the reference list and inconsistent style for you to correct, unless your university allows the editor to correct them.
If your thesis needs help with content or structure, that is your supervisor's role. Our role is to make your own words clear and correct.
Universities set different limits on third-party editing, so before we start, we ask you to send your university's policy and confirm that your supervisor has approved the editing (in writing, where your university or the IPEd guidelines expect it). We offer two levels of editing, and you choose the one your university's policy allows: flag-only, where we add comments on clarity, language and consistency issues but make no changes, so you make every correction yourself; or full corrections, where we correct language, consistency and formatting directly in tracked changes. Policies differ, for example:
If your university asks for an acknowledgement or editing declaration, credit "On Time Publication Editorial Team". We never name an individual editor. On request we can describe the type of editing we did.
PhD candidates and master's research students in the UK, Australia and the United States, and in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan. It suits students before submission for examination, and after the viva when examiners ask for language corrections. We also format theses to university templates, including Gulf university templates.
Upload one chapter or the full thesis, your university's editing policy, your supervisor's approval where required, and your deadline. The assessment is free.
A custom quote based on word count, field and deadline, with a confirmed delivery date.
Chapter by chapter or as one file, with comments for you to review. Free, ongoing re-checks of your revised chapters are included.
You review every change, discuss it with your supervisor if needed, and submit.
Our team responds quickly and is available most hours, and the turnaround is agreed in each written quote based on length and scope. The IPEd guidelines advise engaging an editor ideally at least one month before your submission deadline, so you have time to review the changes. Your thesis is handled confidentially (see our privacy policy), and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request.
Many students later turn chapters into journal articles; our guide how to turn your thesis into a journal article explains the steps. You write the article; we can then help with manuscript editing before journal submission and journal selection & submission. See also thesis-to-paper support on our services page, our process and pricing.
It depends on your university. Many universities allow research students to use a proofreader or editor within set limits, usually with the supervisor's knowledge. Some do not allow it for taught courses. Always check your university's policy first.
No. We edit language, consistency and formatting only. We do not rewrite or paraphrase passages, change your arguments or structure, or add material. Where something is unclear, we leave a comment for you.
Proofreading is a final check for errors in spelling, grammar, punctuation and consistency. Thesis editing, as we offer it, also improves sentence-level clarity and formatting, but never the content or arguments. You choose flag-only comments or full corrections, depending on your university's rules.

Yes. If your university allows comments but not corrections, choose flag-only editing: we comment on clarity, language and consistency issues and make no changes. Where your university permits it, we can make full corrections in tracked changes instead.
Yes. Many universities require it, and the IPEd guidelines say students should obtain written approval from their principal supervisor before using a professional editor. We also ask you to send your university's editing policy before we start.
If your university asks you to acknowledge or declare professional editing, credit "On Time Publication Editorial Team". We never name an individual editor. Describe the help as copyediting and proofreading for language, consistency and formatting only.
