On Time Publication provides manuscript editing services for researchers preparing a paper for journal submission. We edit the English, clarity, consistency and formatting of your own manuscript and check it against your target journal's author guidelines. You stay the author, and the journal makes every publication decision.

This service is for researchers who have finished a draft and want it ready for a journal. We work online with researchers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and Jordan.
It is a good fit if a journal returned your paper because of language problems, if a reviewer asked for "English editing by a native speaker", or if you simply want a careful second reader before you submit to a Scopus, Web of Science or PubMed indexed journal. For clinical and health papers, see medical manuscript editing.
Every manuscript is edited by the On Time Publication Editorial Team: qualified researchers and subject-specialist editors with publishing experience. We match your paper to an editor who knows your field. Subject areas: most academic disciplines.
Grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice and sentence clarity, in a formal academic tone. We keep your meaning and your voice.
A final careful read for typing errors, repeated words, and consistent terms, abbreviations, units and numbering.
Title page, abstract length, headings, word limits, figure and table captions and reference style, following the journal's author guidelines.
We check that in-text citations match the reference list and follow one style. We do not add sources to your paper.
Where a sentence could mean two things, we leave a short comment and ask you to choose. You decide on every change.
A final checklist against the journal's instructions, to reduce the chance that the editorial office returns the paper for simple technical reasons.
Proofreading is a light, final check. It suits a paper that is already well written and only needs small corrections. Editing goes deeper. It improves sentence structure, flow and clarity, and it suits most papers written by non-native speakers. If you are not sure, send us your manuscript and we will tell you which level your paper needs during the free assessment.
Editing must not change who did the research. So we do not change your data, results or conclusions. We do not add new arguments or content, and we do not write or rewrite papers for you. You remain responsible for the content of your paper and decide on every change. The ICMJE Recommendations list language editing and proofreading among the contributions that do not, on their own, qualify someone for authorship. If your journal asks you to acknowledge editing help, you can do so in the acknowledgements.
We also do not promise acceptance. Peer review and the editor's decision belong to the journal. Good editing helps make sure language is not the reason for rejection, but the science still has to convince the reviewers.
Upload it with the form below or send it on WhatsApp. Tell us your target journal (if you have one) and your deadline. The first assessment is free.
We confirm the editing level, the delivery date and a custom quote based on word count, field and deadline.
Your editor works in tracked changes with comments, so you can see every change. Files: all common formats, including Word, LaTeX and PDF.
You accept or reject each change. If anything is unclear, ask us. Included: free, ongoing revision and resubmission support until the paper is published, including re-checks after peer review and reformatting if you resubmit to another journal. This is support, not a promise of publication: acceptance is decided by journals.
Your paper is ready for the journal. If you also need help choosing a journal or with the portal, see journal selection & submission support.
Our team responds quickly and is available most hours, and the turnaround is agreed in each written quote based on length and scope. We always confirm the delivery date in writing before we start. Your manuscript is treated as confidential and is used only to deliver the service (see our privacy policy), and we can sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) on request.
Every manuscript is different, so we give a custom quote based on word count, field and deadline after a free assessment. Journal article processing charges (APCs), if any, are paid by you directly to the journal and are separate from our fee. Read more on our pricing page or see the full process.
After peer review, we can also edit the point-by-point response you have written and your revised manuscript. See all our academic editing and submission services.
Manuscript editing is a careful review of the language, clarity, consistency and formatting of a research paper before it goes to a journal. It improves how your work is written. It does not change your data, results or conclusions.
Proofreading is a light final check for typing errors and consistency. Editing goes deeper and improves sentence structure, flow and clarity. Most papers written in a second language benefit from editing; well-written papers may only need proofreading.
It depends on the length of the paper, how much editing it needs and your deadline. We confirm the delivery date in writing in your quote before any work starts.
No. Acceptance is decided by each journal's editors and peer reviewers, so no editing service can promise it. Editing helps make sure language and formatting are not the reason your paper is rejected.
No. The ICMJE Recommendations state that language editing and proofreading alone do not qualify someone for authorship. You remain the author. If your journal asks, you can mention editing support in the acknowledgements.
